Carlsberg Brewery Visit
A visit to Carlsberg is a journey to the place where Carlsberg was founded in 1847 by J.C. Jacobsen. The tour takes you through the historic brewery as well as fascinating tale of how Carlsberg successfully went from local brewery to global power-brand.

1. Tickets & Brand Store
Begin your self-guided tour here.The recommended route (the dotted line) is marked on-site with hop signs, but there are lots of interesting detours. Our Brand Store is also always worth a visit.
2. Bottle Collection
Taste a very special beer brewed on the oldest recipe from the Carlsberg archives. Explore the World’s largest collection of unopened beer bottles.
3. Old Brewhouse
The tour of the brewery starts in the old grain store situated in the original brewery founded by J.C. Jacobsen in the mid-1800.
4. Sculpture Garden
Stroll down the "Mermaid Path" and experience samples from Carlsberg’s art collection. See the little sister of the world-famous Little Mermaid. The original Little Mermaid was donated to Copenhagen by J.C. Jacobsen’s son, Carl, in 1913.
5. Stables
Meet Carlsberg’s proud 4-legged ambassadors. Watch the big dray horses getting ready for their daily trip through the streets of Copenhagen.
6. Jacobsen Brewhouse & bar
The rich aroma of malt hangs in the air in the modern, working brewery, where you can also see the beautiful boilers and the bottling plant.
7. Beer Garden
Enjoy the best burgers in town and cold draught beer in our attractive paved courtyard.
